Modify Footer Copyright Columns
By default, the footer is 50/50 for the intended shared purpose of showing the following:
Left column (50%) - Copyright (managed in Theme Options >> Miscellaneous).
Right column (50%) - Social Networks (managed in Theme Options >> Social Networks).
In some instances, our buyers have requested making this a single column.
To do this, we recommend using the Child Theme provided with your purchase.
The child theme will allow you to modify the file and retain the ability to update to newer versions.
You can learn more about Child Themes on WordPress.
Using a child theme still requires you uploading the parent theme, so upload both folders:
Now make sure the Child Theme is activated via "Appearance >> Themes".
In this next step, we're going to copy the file "footer.php" from the parent theme into the child theme.
This new file will override the existing file in the parent theme, applying your changes.
Open the file (footer.php) now in the text / code editor of your choice.
Locate (on approximately line #68, may change depending on version) the following:
<!-- Copyright / Social Footer Begins Here --> <div class="row"> <div class="twelve columns mobile-twelve copyright-footer"> <div class="six mobile-two columns"> <p class="copyright-text"><?php echo stripslashes($data['wm_footer_copyright']);?></p> </div> <div class="six mobile-two columns"> <!-- SOCIAL ICONS --> <ul class="text-right inline footer-networks"> <?php include (get_template_directory() . "/lib/social-networks-footer.php"); ?> </ul> <!-- SOCIAL ICONS --> </div> </div> </div> <!-- END Copyright / Social Footer Begins Here -->
You'll see that this includes two columns here (indicated by "six" in the code).
We want to edit and remove this (keeping in mind, these features will change).
We will be removing both divs with the "six" classes.
Our end result will be a single div with a "twelve" instead of two "six" columns.
The code will look like this (copy and replace with this):
<!-- Copyright / Social Footer Begins Here --> <div class="row"> <div class="twelve columns mobile-twelve copyright-footer"> <p class="copyright-text"><?php echo stripslashes($data['wm_footer_copyright']);?></p> </div> </div> <!-- END Copyright / Social Footer Begins Here -->
The result now is, we have one single twelve column instead of two columns.
The code above will maintain your use of the Copyright footer options.
The code removed was related to your Social Networks in the footer, no longer available.
You can do it the opposite way if desired, removing the copyright and keeping the social networks.
We hope this provides the guidance you need in modifying your footer.php copyright.

If by chance you're wanting to center this footer copyright you can do so in the code.
